"Alright class," said Mrs. Villanueva, our Biology teacher. "Since you don't have enough time to make your project, I decided to change it"
Everyone was relieved. Actually, she mentioned on our first day of class that we would be having our own case study as our project for the first quarter. Well, personally, I have no idea what a case study is and how to make it. So, I felt relief. But I asked myself, "What could be the proposed project she's thinking?"
"I am giving you options: you may work by pair or with a group. For your group project, I suggest to create your own documentary related to our current environment, or make your own portfolio online. For those who'd prefer to work individually, you should pass a photo journal about the environment." she said. Some formed their groups and decided to pass a documentary film; others prefered to make their photo journal; others decided to create a blog site; while others were still undecided.
I was one of those who were still undecided. I thought that if I chose to make a documentary film, it would take time, energy, and money; and If I chose the photo journ, I won't have enough time to make it, since it was two weeks before the submission of the project. "Ate Christlyn, tara mag-blog na lang tayo." Leo, friend of mine, exclaimed. Without any doubt, I agreed. Leo and I, together with Angelo, decided to make a blog portfolio. On a 1/4 sheet of paper, I wrote our names and the option that we chose.
Mrs. Villanueva explained to us that the blog should be updated a day between. We may add videos, photos, or music to make our blog more interesting. It should last for the whole school year. Easy, right?
So, that is why www.undestandingthescienceoflife.blogspot.com is made.
